Current Areas of EmploymentAccording to survey results, approximately 55% of youth reported working outside of their home for money. The above graph illustrates the types of jobs youth are currently employed in. Twelfth grade students were more likely than 10th or 8th grade students to report they work for money outside the home. Interestingly, more 8th grade students (55%) than 10th grade students (49%) work outside the home. Of the total population, females (60%) are more likely than males (56%) to report they work for money.
